About

Just who the hell are you?

As the little box at the top of the blog says, I am John Kastronis (the third John Kastronis of three to ever exist). I’m a sorta-published author that does authory stuff, like write and read and eat and sleep. I also help run, write-for, and occasionally draw the web comic which you will find at the root directory of this website, among other things.

Sorta-published?

I have written numerous short stories and had several of them published for E-ON Magazine. I say sorta-published because I don’t actually get paid for it. E-ON is a magazine published for the EVE Online MMORPG, an MMO I play (infrequently these days). Considering I’m not competing with a large pool of submitters and it’s not paid work, I am reluctant to actually say I have been published. But technically, you can buy a magazine and find my fiction in it.

Also, if you do a websearch on my name, you’ll probably find a lot of old fanfictiony stuff I did when I was younger and didn’t know any better.

So why should I care about you?

You probably should not, unless you are a family member or friend. In that case, you’d damn well better care about me. Otherwise, you’re here on accident or you somehow find what I have written interesting. In either case, welcome.

What does “The Clockwork Storyteller” mean?

What does a person call a blog? I sure as heck don’t know. Anyway, I like the aesthetic of clockwork stuff, and I’m a storyteller, so I combined the two in a most clever way.

What is this blog about?

Whatever I feel like. Mainly, it will be about writing (at least, that’s my intention). The processes I go through, what I’m working on lately, excerpts of my work, and my thoughts on writing in general. I’m also sure I’ll record my opinions on books, movies, and other forms of storytelling as well. And probably other stuff, like… sports and video games and other totally relevant things.
