The Collectors

I had an idea a long time ago for a story to go into E-ON about a crew that collects biomass. I never quite got a good hook for the story though, so it remained partially written. But today, I got my inspiration on how to make the story living and breathing. And I think it turned out quite good. I have a feeling a lot of people will like it.

Liberation of an Outlaw

Here we reach the final episode of my series looking at how people fall in with the pirate factions in EVE. We end up with one of the most interesting factions in EVE: The Guristas. On the surface, they take on the role of basic pirates. But they’re running protection schemes and pushing drugs like the Angels. They’re not feeding addictions and buying off politicians and heads of industry like the Serpentis. They are, in a way, the Caldari State’s counter culture. They’re the rebels, the ones who don’t follow the State’s rules. Sure, a lot of them are just pirates. But I think there runs an undercurrent of revolution in them, something that was exemplified by Gariushi before he made his power play for Ishukone.

So here we pick up the story of a character from a previous story of mine, Birth of a Pod Pilot: Caldari. We see where her choices have led her and where she eventually ends up. The story is a lot more dialogue driven than my others, I think. There’s enough speeches here to fill a political rally. I think you should enjoy it, though. Particularly if you remember that, deep down, we are dealing with criminals here, no matter how they paint themselves.

Letting of Blood

Once again, from the title, you should be able to get a good idea of what this is about. I’m not sure if I’m happy with this one, really. I had an idea and I think I achieved all the goals of my idea, but I’m not really sure if they worked as well as I wanted. I also think I sorta petered out midway through the story. This week, I definitely ran into the first real “Man, I cannot get into my writing” block that I’ve had since I started this thing. Normally, I can blow it up after an hour or two of writing. But not this time, so I think it might have hurt the story.

Ah well, next week, when I tackle the Guristas, I think I should have an easier time. I’ve already got plot points formulating there.

Hatching of a Snake

This one is very straightforward. Drugs. Serpentis. A man. What leads the third to the first two. Here’s just one story.
