I used to run barefoot

I have very little to say about this one. It’s an idea I’ve had for a long, long time. I was going to write an EON story with this subject, but I never managed to come up with a good narrative. I’m still not sure I got one, really. But I happen to like it, even if it is a bit short.

The Ni-Kunni who was Emperor for a day

With the Pod Pilot series finished up, now I’m pleased to get back to something different. EVE sadly has little fiction wherein a comedy of errors occurs. It has such a great potential for the darkly comic. And here we get that, as a rather poor off crew attempts to hit it big.

LOST

The season premiere of Lost was last night. Lost is one of my favorite shows on TV, as it is with a lot of people. It is superbly written, well acted, and rarely fails to be entertaining. It really is a class above most other TB shows on the air currently. As far as dramas go, I can’t think of any that can even come close to it (though Fringe has promise, and no surprise, it’s also done by JJ Abrams.

The question is, what is it that sets it apart from other series? The obvious answer is the writing, but what is it about the writing that is so much better than other TV shows? Well, it’s quite simple, really, and it’s something that is more or less universal with all good writing. Subtlety.
