Simon the Geneticist is a creepy loner who lives in a hidden underground layer somewhere in the wooded swamps of New Jersey. Despite appearing only as a menacing shadow for some time, it was eventually revealed that he’s a weird, lonely, bald, old man who wears a v-neck sweater. Despite the fact that it seemed Arsenic and Old Lace only accidentally wound up entrapped by Simon’s scheme, Simon reveals that he has been monitoring Arsenic for some time and wanted to bring him there. Apparently two can play though, because some time after this adventure, Arsenic explains that he too was seeking out Simon as part of Home Base's mysterious "Project Stillwell," a clonin project.

Simon expresses dissatisfaction with "intellectual inferiors" and wants to be in company of an intelligent man like Arsenic. But it was clear to Arsenic that Simon wanted more than just intellectual company out of him.

Arsenic steadfastly refused to have any part of Simon’s sexual obsession with him or to work with him, causing Simon to steal blood from Arsenic in order to make a clone of Arsenic which he could make his lover. Disgusted with the notion, Arsenic still stuck around to watch the process because he wanted to learn of the cloning technology secrets for Project Stillwell. Yet the result was NOT as Simon had intended – somehow the clone came out as a FEMALE version of Arsenic. As Simon had absolutely no interest in females, the newly created "Arsena" instead was interested in Arsenic, creating a sickening relationship that could arguably called incest or masturbation. Eventually, Arsena ransacked Simon’s Lair and escaped to parts unknown, and Arsenic and Old Lace departed as well. The fact that Arsena vanished with all of Simon's plans left Arsenic unable to gather the cloning secrets he needed for Home Base, forcing him to turn to another possible source - the Lair of Dr. Kiebler, hidden under Coney Island.

First Appearance: Appeared Doctor Claw-style from behind a chair August 8, 2006, continued only being seen as a shadow for some time and was revealed more formally October 5.

Misc: Who knows if Simon will make a return to the story? Arsenic might have to seek him out if he is ever to complete Home Base's cloning project, or might want to try to find his rogue female clone.
