The Interrobang is a mysterious private investigator /slash/ vigilante hero who is hot on the trail of Arsenic. While we first see him run into Arsenic and Old Lace on the subway, it’s apparent that the Interrobang has had hostile encounters with Arsenic in the past. Interrobang describes himself as a self-appointed "Protector of Justice in the war against scum." It’s clear from his personality that he’s a conspiracy theorist, and believes that the regular institutes of justice and law enforcement such as the police are corrupt and unable to serve true social justice. Interrobang’s conspiracy theories are probably attributable to his meth habit (which also caused him to delusionally talk to his cat).

Even before Arsenic became known during his city-freezing crime wave, Interrobang had learned of him and was suspicious. Finally, with Arsenic’s activities escalating, Interrobang decided that he could wait no longer – and actively sought to capture Arsenic once and for all. He went first to the Police Commissioner, and then to the Mayor, demanding answers and action. What he got instead was a surprising decision by the Mayor to personally appoint him as the lead investigator in the Arsenic case. Through happenstance, Interrobang was able to track down a clue to where Arsenic’s hidden lab may be, and hid inside of it, waiting for Arsenic’s return. But Arsenic and Old Lace discovered his presence and Arsenic used his freeze gun on him. Interrobang’s body unintentionally shattered apart, ending his crime fighting quest once and for all.

Misc: Interrobang was created by Holy Evil, inspired as a mixup between Madman and The Question. While initially the holes in his cheek were supposed to imply that he was a patched-together person under the mask and wardrobe, I decided to re-interpret as him simply having a delicious meth addiction.
