We all know Arsenic as the villainous, but bungling, mad scientist who resides in the Evil Lair of Evil, plotting to take over the world. But at one time he was just Arsenio Mikkos, a Greek student sent by his billionaire father to be educated in America. With technical brilliance even at a young age, the future criminal mastermind attended Brooklyn Tech, where he somehow managed to bed an obviously confused underclassman named Tiffany. It was the first and last time Arsenic would ever have sex with a girl! But one time is all you need to get a girl pregnant - and that's exactly what happened. Upon learning of the pregnancy, young Arsenio would have nothing to do with the woman, and eventually bolted from the country. Arsenio's rich father Alexandros quietly paid hush money to the young woman in order to keep the father's identity quiet. Tiffany's pride told her not to accept it, but her need for cash as a young single mother eventually won out.
Tiffany raised her daughter, Katherine, without ever telling her who her father was. But secretly she kept track of Arsenio, learning that he went into the Greek military and rose through its ranks. She also heard that he was involved in a treasonous plot, and became a fugitive from justice. Nearly a year after the plot, rumors spread that Arsenio had been thrown into the sea by his own brother, to drown in the dark Aegean. She had mixed feelings, but was mostly relieved that she could close a chapter in her life and prevent her young daughter from ever coming in contact with her nefarious father.
But that young daughter would grow into a woman. Over the years she would ask her mother about her father, but was continually rebuked. Finally the day came when she would be forced to tell the story, and her daughter learned the truth. But what neither she or her daughter realize is that the "dead" Arsenio Mikkos survives today, resurrected by Home Base as the mega-villain Arsenic, bent on World Domination.

Misc: Katherine's Mom just went by "Katherine's Mom" for a while. I eventually gave her a name though, just for the hell of it using a random name generator (which retroactively also gave Katherine a surname). As I wanted Katherine's mom to be a MILF-type, the first example I could think to base her on was Lauren Graham from the Gillmore Girls. Not that I'd ever admit to having watched that.
